Job Description

Ocean Wounds is seeking a Pennsylvania-licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP/APRN) to provide mobile wound care at a skilled nursing facility in Carlisle, Pennsylvania . This position is specifically for a Nurse Practitioner . We are looking for an NP who is interested in wound care and can provide wound assessments, treatment planning, debridement, and ongoing wound management for patients in a skilled nursing setting. Position Details $68-$75 per hour 1099 Independent Contractor 1 consistent weekday per week Monday-Thursday availability Approximately 6-8 clinical hours per day Daytime schedule No nights No weekends No on-call Consistent Carlisle-area facility assignment Minimal local travel Additional days may become available as the territory grows Clinical support and wound care training provided Ideal Candidate We are looking for a Pennsylvania Nurse Practitioner who lives in or near Carlisle and is interested in adding a consistent clinical day to their schedule.

Responsibilities The Nurse Practitioner will provide bedside wound care to patients in a skilled nursing facility, including: Performing comprehensive wound assessments Evaluating acute and chronic wounds Developing individualized treatment plans Performing wound debridement within scope of practice Selecting appropriate wound care treatments and dressings Monitoring wound healing and treatment progress Managing pressure injuries, diabetic wounds, venous wounds, and other chronic wounds Documenting assessments, treatments, procedures, and patient progress Communicating treatment recommendations with facility nursing staff Providing ongoing wound management and follow-up Collaborating with the Ocean Wounds clinical team
Qualifications Required:
Active, unrestricted Pennsylvania Nurse Practitioner license Current national board certification as a Nurse Practitioner Ability to practice independently within Pennsylvania scope of practice Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills Ability to provide care in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting Ability to perform wound-related procedures within scope of practice
Preferred:
Previous wound care experience Skilled nursing, long-term care, rehabilitation, geriatrics, or post-acute care experience WCC, CWS, CWCN, or similar wound care certification Experience performing wound debridement New graduate NPs with strong clinical experience and an interest in wound care may also be considered.
