Inpatient coverage, CVICU Responsibilities include: Daily rounding, Patient management, Order entry, Admissions, Post-operative management

Management of:

VA & VV ECMO, Impella, LVAD, Cardiac transplants Procedures including arterial lines, central lines, swans, and IABP removal Average census 8-12 30-bed CVICU Level I trauma facility Academice teaching institution

Schedule:

Day and night coverage needed 3 13-hour shifts per week, 7:00a-8:00p or 7:00p-8:00a

Requirements:

Active Pennsylvania licensure Board certification AHA BLS and ACLS certifications Minimum 1-year Cardiothoracic Surgery experience or equivalent Job Responsibilities (Generalized): Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to diagnose and treat a variety of medical conditions Develop and implement individualized treatment plans Order and interpret diagnostic tests Prescribe medications and manage chronic conditions Provide patient education and counseling on healthy lifestyle choices. Perform procedures as permitted by state regulations and APP specialty Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to ensure coordinated care Document patient care accurately and thoroughly

Requirements Education:

Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree focused on an NP specialty (e.g., family practice, adult-gerontology, pediatrics) Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS) degree from an accredited program

Licenses & Certifications:

Active and unencumbered advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) license in Pennsylvania National certification as an NP in a relevant specialty area by a recognized certifying body (e.g., American Academy of Nurse Practitioners [AANP]) Active and unencumbered physician assistant (PA) license in Pennsylvania National certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)

Experience:

While specific requirements may vary, most locum APP positions prefer candidates with at least one year of experience in a clinical setting relevant to their specialty

If you reside greater than 50 miles from the facility you are eligible for travel benefits. You will have your travel and lodging arranged by our travel department and paid for in full. Please note that this position is offered as an independent contractor (1099) role and does not include the typical benefits associated with a W-2 employment, such as health insurance, retirement contributions, or paid time off.

Pay:

$114.00 - $133.00 per hour
