Job Description

Description Wayne Memorial Hospital, located in Honesdale, Pennsylvania, is a non-profit community hospital providing high-quality outpatient and inpatient care. Serving over 100,000 residents across Wayne, Pike, Lackawanna, Susquehanna, and Luzerne Counties, the hospital offers comprehensive services, including a growing Heart & Vascular Center, interventional cardiology, cardiac diagnostics, cardiac rehabilitation, and specialty care. We are seeking a full-time, on-site Cardiology Advanced Practice Provider (CRNP or PA) to support our cardiology team in both outpatient and inpatient settings. The APP will work collaboratively with cardiologists to evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with cardiovascular conditions while supporting continuity of care. Key Responsibilities Conduct patient assessments, obtain medical histories, and perform physical examinations. Evaluate and manage patients with cardiovascular conditions under established protocols and collaborative agreements. Order, review, and interpret laboratory studies, ECGs, and other diagnostic testing. Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians. Provide follow-up care for patients with chronic cardiovascular conditions. Assist with inpatient rounding, consultations, and discharge planning. Educate patients and families regarding medications, lifestyle modifications, and disease management. Maintain accurate and timely electronic health record documentation. Minimum Requirements Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program. Current Pennsylvania licensure as a CRNP or PA. Current DEA registration or ability to obtain. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered approach to care. Cardiology experience preferred. Compensation and Benefits Competitive salary based on experience.
