What We're Looking For We are seeking a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner or Family Nurse Practitioner who: Has a genuine passion for working with children and families Takes a naturally minded and holistic approach to pediatric care Values prevention, nutrition, lifestyle, and overall wellness Believes in educating parents rather than simply telling them what to do Is comfortable discussing both conventional and complementary approaches to health Respects parental involvement and informed decision-making Takes time to listen and build relationships with patients and families Is comfortable working independently while collaborating with the rest of the healthcare team Is warm, personable, and excellent at communicating with parents Wants to help build and grow a pediatric practice Responsibilities Perform pediatric well-child examinations Monitor growth, development, and overall health Provide age-appropriate preventive care Educate parents regarding nutrition, development, sleep, wellness, and common childhood concerns Evaluate and manage common pediatric illnesses and conditions within your scope of practice Develop individualized care plans Provide appropriate referrals when additional specialty care is needed Document patient encounters accurately in the electronic medical record Develop long-term relationships with families Participate in building the culture and growth of a family-centered pediatric practice Our Approach At Foundation Pediatrics, we believe parents should be active participants in their child's healthcare. Qualifications Current Pennsylvania Nurse Practitioner license National NP certification Pediatric or Family Nurse Practitioner certification preferred Pediatric clinical experience preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team DEA registration/prescriptive authority as applicable Current CPR/BLS certification Schedule We are open to discussing part-time opportunities with the right candidate. Our current clinic hours are generally during the week from 8:00 AM-4:00 PM , with the potential for additional hours as the practice grows.
