An experienced Neonatal Nurse Practitioner is sought to join the NICU team in a regional neonatology division. The role involves providing specialized care for critically ill and recovering term and preterm infants, working alongside neonatologists, residents, and nursing staff in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage NICU admissions, assessments, and ongoing care of high-risk infants, including those less than 35 weeks gestation. Perform procedures such as intubation, umbilical line placement, chest tubes, arterial puncture, arterial line placement, and ventilator management. Attend deliveries, especially high-risk cases, and manage delivery room procedures. Provide comprehensive history-taking and physical exams, with a focus on critically ill neonates. Participate in network NICU coverage, with flexible shift options (8, 16, or 24 hours).
Qualifications & Skills:
Master's Degree in Nursing with Nurse Practitioner certification (required). Experience in neonatal intensive care and proficiency in critical procedures. Strong collaboration and communication skills in a multidisciplinary team environment.
