The Contractor will perform services under a written delegation and supervision agreement with a Texas-licensed physician, in accordance with applicable Texas Medical Board and Texas Board of Nursing rules. This role is well-suited for a flexible, startup-stage environment and requires strong clinical judgment, comfort with telehealth workflows, and adherence to evidence-based ketamine protocols. Scope of ServicesPatient Intake & Medical Clearance (Telehealth) Conduct remote patient evaluations via telehealth, including: Comprehensive medical and psychiatric history Medication reconciliation Review of contraindications and risk factors for ketamine therapy Review of prior medical records, labs, or diagnostics as applicable Determine patient eligibility and medical clearance for ketamine treatment in accordance with: Clinic clinical protocols Delegated authority under Texas law Evidence-based standards of care Obtain and document informed consent for ketamine-assisted treatment Educate patients on risks, benefits, expectations, and alternatives Document all clinical encounters and medical decision-making in the EHR in a timely and compliant manner Collaboration & Delegation Compliance Practice strictly within the scope of authority delegated by the supervising physician Escalate complex cases, exclusions, adverse events, or protocol deviations to the supervising physician or medical director Participate in required supervision activities, including: Chart reviews Case discussions Periodic clinical meetings (as defined in the delegation agreement) Clinical Quality & Safety Adhere to clinic policies, clinical protocols, and safety standards for ketamine therapy Monitor for red flags or contraindications during intake and throughout treatment eligibility Assist with continuous improvement of intake workflows and clinical protocols Support quality assurance, audits, and regulatory readiness as needed Contractor Responsibilities & Independence Contractor retains control over the manner and means of performing services, subject to: Clinical protocols Delegation and supervision requirements under Texas law Contractor is responsible for: Maintaining all required licenses, certifications, and insurance Payment of all applicable taxes and business expenses No minimum hours guaranteed; services provided on an as-needed or scheduled basis per mutual agreement Required Qualifications Active, unrestricted Texas PA license or Texas APRN license National certification (NCCPA for PA; AANP or ANCC for NP) Eligibility for or possession of Texas prescriptive authority (as applicable) Ability to practice under a Texas-compliant delegation/supervision agreement Minimum 1 year of clinical experience Comfort with telehealth platforms and remote documentation Strong understanding of controlled-substance safety and risk mitigation Preferred Experience Ketamine therapy or psychedelic-adjacent clinical experience Psychiatry, behavioral health, pain management, ER, or primary care background Experience working in startup or early-stage clinical environments Familiarity with remote patient screening and intake models Schedule & Compensation Flexible, remote scheduling Compensation structured on a per-evaluation, per-hour, or per-shift basis Opportunity to expand scope and responsibility as the clinic scales Compliance Statement Services will be provided in accordance with: Texas Medical Board and Texas Board of Nursing rules Applicable delegation and supervision agreements DEA and controlled substance regulations (as applicable) Clinic policies and clinical protocols
