Works at hospitals with dedicated mental health unit, fully dedicated psychiatric hospital or in independent practice working from nursing homes and physicians' offices.

Job Description

Connecticut Counseling Group is seeking a Psychiatric APRN or Physician Assistant to join our growing outpatient mental health practice. This position will provide psychiatric evaluations and medication management services to children, adolescents, and adults . Responsibilities Conduct psychiatric evaluations and medication assessments Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications Provide ongoing medication management and follow-up appointments Monitor treatment effectiveness, side effects, and overall clinical progress Collaborate with therapists, families, primary care providers, and other members of the treatment team Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation Qualifications Active Connecticut APRN or PA license Current prescribing authority and DEA registration, as applicable Experience providing psychiatric medication management Experience treating children and adolescents strongly preferred Strong clinical judgment and collaborative approach to care Position Details 1099 independent contractor with possibility to grow into a full-time W-2 position 50/50 revenue split Flexible schedule Established group practice with administrative, billing, intake, and referral support Opportunity to build a consistent caseload across children, adolescents, and adults Hybrid work from home telehealth and in office in Shelton medical building
