Position Details Part-time 1099 Independent Contractor position with the opportunity to expand into a full-time schedule as your patient panel and caseload grow Hybrid practice with a combination of in-person appointments in Ellicott City, Maryland, and virtual telepsychiatry visits Flexible scheduling—design a schedule that fits your lifestyle during weekdays. Initial schedule of approximately 24 clinical hours per week (three 8-hour clinical days), with the opportunity to transition to full-time (40+ clinical hours per week) as patient demand continues to grow Established referral network with a continuously growing patient base Strong administrative and clinical support to help build your schedule efficiently Compensation & Perks Competitive hourly compensation based on experience, qualifications, and clinical expertise Opportunity for hourly rate review and increases based on performance, productivity, and longevity Flexible hybrid work environment with both in-person and telepsychiatry appointments Flexible scheduling that promotes a healthy work-life balance Administrative support for scheduling, insurance verification, billing, credentialing, referrals, and prior authorizations, allowing you to focus on patient care Modern electronic health record (EHR) system Collaborative, supportive, and provider-focused work environment Clinical autonomy with the ability to practice evidence-based psychiatry Opportunity to grow with a rapidly expanding private practice Long-term career growth with the potential to build a full-time outpatient caseload Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations for children, adolescents, and adults Diagnose and treat a broad range of psychiatric conditions using evidence-based practices Provide medication management and supportive psychotherapy, when appropriate Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant clinical documentation Collaborate with therapists, primary care providers, specialists, and other healthcare professionals as appropriate Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and medication management Deliver compassionate, patient-centered psychiatric care while maintaining high clinical standards Qualifications Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Psychiatrist (MD/DO) or Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) Active Maryland Physician License or Maryland Nurse Practitioner License (or eligibility for Maryland licensure) Active DEA registration or ability to obtain one before employment Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong diagnostic, clinical decision-making, and documentation abilities Commitment to delivering high-quality, evidence-based psychiatric care Outpatient psychiatry experience preferred; however, motivated new graduate PMHNPs are encouraged to apply.
