Position Title:
Psychiatric Mental HealthNurse Practitioner We are currently seeking a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to join our practice. This is a W2, part time position with the opportunity to build up to a full-time caseload. Hours are flexible and could include days, nights and/or weekends, depending upon the NP's preferences, and our office availability. We are currently looking for candidates with an openness to work in a hybrid model, with a combination of work from home and in person sessions at our East Brunswick, NJ location. The Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitionermust be committed to utilizing a non-diet, weight inclusive and trauma-informed approach. The ideal candidate will have an interest in working with eating disorders and/or the perinatal population. An interest in working with children, teens, and families is a plus. Familiarity with Intuitive Eating and weight inclusive care principles is also ideal. Regular individual consultation and team support meetings will be offered. This position will be responsible for diagnosing and treating patients with mental health and emotional disorders, providing individual therapy, and prescribing medication when necessary.

Clinical Director Primary Job Description:
To provide medication management counseling to clients with mental health concerns, disordered eating, eating disorders and trauma-related symptoms.
Secondary Job Description:
To collaborate with treatment teams, engage in continual professional education, assist with other creative and administrative tasks as needed (documentation, scheduling etc.) and serve as a resource.
Hours:
10-15 hours/week - depending on your capacity and client needs with opportunity grow to full time.
Compensation and Benefits:
$80-$85/hour. PTO, Retirement (IRA) with employer match, CEU Reimbursement, AFLAC. With growth to full time, medical, dental, and vision benefits become available.
Location:
East Brunswick, NJ Roles and Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and treat mental health disorders
- Offer individual psychoeducation to clients
- Prescribe and monitor medications when necessary
- Maintain detailed records of patient visits and progress
- Assist in the development of individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure patient continuity of care
- Educate patients and families about mental health and emotional disorders
- Participate in community outreach and education Skills and Knowledge (at least a basic understanding)
- Understanding of Health at Every Size and Intuitive Eating philosophies and principles
- Ethics of the Nurse Practitioner profession
- Read and interpret research studies
- Medication Management and Prescribing
- Knowledge of mental health and emotional disorders
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to prioritize independently
- Attention to detail
- Ability to think critically and problem solve in challenging and complex situations

Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Nursing, with a specialty in Psychiatric Nursing
- Valid state licensure as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
- 2+ years of experience in a clinical setting preferred
Accountability:
- Complete all required documentation in a timely manner, keeping detailed notes/records, while monitoring progress
- Maintain active malpractice insurance.
- Basic maintenance of office space
- Attend staff meetings as required by clinical director and owner
- Conduct in-person and virtual sessions
- Other duties as assigned by clinical director and owner Ideal candidates will have:
- Availability and interest in working up to a full-time caseload (20-30 clients weekly with the option to see more as desired)
- Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
- The ability to work collaboratively with clients and build strong rapport
- The ability to work collaboratively with other treatment providers as part of a multi-disciplinary team
- A willingness to receive and integrate feedback
- A commitment to learning about and being open to the experiences of those with identities different from one's own (especially as they relate to eating, body image and embodiment)

- A commitment to practicing nutrition counseling through an anti-oppressive lens
