This is a flexible part-time opportunity starting at approximately 8-16 hours per week , with weekday evening and/or Saturday availability . The position is primarily telehealth, with one expected in-office day per week in New Jersey . There is also an opportunity to increase clinical hours as your caseload grows. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments. Provide psychiatric medication management and follow-up care. Diagnose and treat common psychiatric conditions, including ADHD, anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, mood disorders, PTSD, and related conditions. Develop individualized treatment plans based on each patient's clinical needs. Prescribe and monitor psychiatric medications safely and appropriately. Provide patient education regarding medications, including risks, benefits, alternatives, and treatment expectations. Review laboratory results and coordinate care with therapists, primary care providers, and other healthcare professionals when appropriate. Complete clinical documentation accurately and within required timeframes. Provide telepsychiatry services while maintaining appropriate clinical and privacy standards. Follow applicable New Jersey and federal requirements related to prescribing, including controlled substances. Participate in the practice's established clinical quality and safety standards. Qualifications Current and unrestricted New Jersey RN and APN license . Board certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) . Active NPI. Current DEA registration and New Jersey CDS registration, or eligibility to obtain them. Ability to prescribe controlled substances in accordance with New Jersey and federal requirements. Current malpractice insurance. Strong clinical judgment and documentation skills. Comfortable providing telepsychiatry services. Reliable, professional, and responsive communication. Experience with outpatient psychiatric medication management preferred. 1-2 years of psychiatric prescribing experience preferred. Preferred Clinical Experience Experience treating adult patients with: ADHD Anxiety disorders Depression PTSD Bipolar disorder and other mood disorders Insomnia Psychiatric medication-management needs involving controlled substances Experience providing psychotherapy or brief supportive interventions is a plus, but medication management is the primary focus of this position .
