Administer injections such as psychopharmacology medications and perform medication reconciliation to optimize treatment plans. Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and primary care providers to develop integrated treatment strategies. Manage patient care plans through electronic health records (EHR/Epic/eClinicalWorks) ensuring accurate documentation of clinical notes, medication records, and treatment progress. Provide telehealth services utilizing telemedicine platforms to expand access to behavioral health care for remote or underserved populations. Educate patients and families on mental health conditions, medication adherence, lifestyle modifications, and coping strategies. Participate in case management activities including discharge planning, utilization review, and coordination of community resources for ongoing support. Experience Proven experience working as a Nurse Practitioner specializing in psychiatry or behavioral health with a strong foundation in mental health diagnosis and treatment planning. Demonstrated proficiency in medical office procedures including medical documentation, CPT coding, ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), and drug enforcement regulations (DEA). Experience administering injections such as dermal fillers or botulinum toxin treatments is a plus. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth for efficient patient record management. Background working with diverse populations including children, geriatrics, memory care patients with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, and individuals with developmental disabilities. Knowledge of acute care environments such as hospital medicine units or ICU settings is advantageous. Skilled in patient assessment techniques including vital signs measurement, physical examinations, specimen collection/processing, and behavioral health evaluations. Ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams in outpatient clinics or inpatient hospital settings while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy.
