We provide relational, affirming, high-quality care rooted in collaboration, clinical depth, and whole-person healing. Our team includes therapists with expertise in trauma, neurodivergence, LGBTQIA+ affirming care, adolescent and adult mental health, and integrative approaches. We are expanding our psychiatric services and seeking a thoughtful, collaborative prescriber to join our growing practice. Position Overview Portal Wellness Collective is seeking a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to join our practice as an independent contractor approximately 2 days per week , with opportunity to increase if desired. This role is ideal for a prescriber who enjoys outpatient psychiatry, collaborative care, and working with adolescents and adults in a thoughtful, affirming environment. This is an opportunity to help shape a growing psychiatry service within an established referral ecosystem. What Makes This Role Different Collaborative clinical environment You'll work alongside experienced therapists who value interdisciplinary collaboration and thoughtful case consultation. Built-in referral network This is not a cold-start private practice role. Our established therapy practice provides a strong internal referral base. Supported professional development We will provide ongoing consultation with a highly experienced psychiatric nurse practitioner , offering ongoing clinical support, case consultation, and mentorship. High-autonomy contractor model Flexible scheduling and independence while practicing within a collaborative group setting. Responsibilities Conduct psychiatric diagnostic evaluations for adolescents and adults Provide ongoing psychiatric medication management Assess and treat ADHD Provide autism diagnostic consultation/screening where clinically appropriate (depending on experience/training) Collaborate with therapists regarding treatment planning and continuity of care Complete timely clinical documentation Manage prescription refills, medication monitoring, and clinically necessary follow-up Participate consultation/case review Maintain compliance with applicable licensure, prescribing, and documentation requirements Preferred Clinical Experience Strong preference for clinicians with experience in: ADHD assessment and treatment neurodivergent-affirming care adolescent psychiatry trauma-informed psychiatric care LGBTQIA+ affirming care collaborative outpatient practice environments Additional preferred experience: adult autism diagnostic assessment / consultation ketamine prescribing experience (at-home treatment models)
Qualifications Required:
PMHNP-BC
certification Active Oregon NP license in good standing Prescriptive authority in Oregon Active DEA registration Ability to credential with commercial insurance and/or Medicaid plans (we will help credential you) Outpatient psychiatric prescribing experiencePreferred:
Washington licensure (or willingness to obtain) Experience working with adolescents Strong documentation and risk assessment skills Compensation 1099 independent contractor position Compensation structure: Hourly compensation for completed direct clinical care Separate hourly compensation for administrative work Expected commitment: Approximately 2 days per week Compensation range: $- _ 85-125$ _ per clinical hour depending on experience
