In this vital role, you will provide expert psychiatric care, conduct comprehensive patient assessments, and develop individualized treatment plans to support mental health and well-being. Your expertise will help improve patient outcomes across diverse populations, including children, adults, seniors, and individuals with complex psychiatric needs. This position offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate with healthcare professionals across various specialties and utilize advanced clinical skills in a fast-paced, supportive environment. Responsibilities Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations, including mental status examinations and behavioral assessments for patients of all ages. Prescribe and manage medications within collaborative practice agreements, adhering to HIPAA regulations and DEA guidelines. Develop personalized treatment plans that incorporate psychotherapy, medication management, and other therapeutic interventions. Collaborate closely with physicians, therapists, social workers, and other healthcare providers to coordinate comprehensive patient care. Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or eClinicalWorks for accurate documentation of patient encounters and treatment progress. Provide telehealth services to expand access to mental health care for remote or underserved populations. Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions, medication use, lifestyle modifications, and coping strategies to promote recovery and resilience. Qualifications Valid state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner with certification in Psychiatry or Mental Health Nursing. Proven experience working with behavioral health patients across diverse settings such as hospitals, outpatient clinics, or assisted living facilities. Strong knowledge of psychiatric medications, psychopharmacology, and clinical research methodologies. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Athenahealth or Cerner for efficient medical documentation. Experience in acute care environments such as ICU or emergency medicine is highly desirable. Ability to perform physical examinations, vital signs assessment, medication administration, and diagnostic evaluations confidently. Excellent communication skills for client education, case management, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
