Job Description
Serve your community with AFC Anderson Urgent Care at Bon Secours Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physician Assistant or Family Nurse Practitioner to join our AFC Urgent Care Clinic in Anderson, SC. This position offers the opportunity to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. As part of our urgent care team, you will manage a wide range of non-emergent illnesses and injuries while working alongside a supportive staff that includes medical assistants and front-office team members. Our urgent care clinics are open 7 days per week, 8a to 8p Monday
- Friday, and 8a to 5p Saturday and Sunday.
- Based on years of active/independent APC experience Includes 39 hours per week Does not include bonuses, stipends, or premium pay Comprehensive benefits Employer paid malpractice insurance and tail coverage Generous paid time off and CME allowance Retirement savings plan with employer contribution Potential for overtime at premium rate 1optional hour per week dedicated to charting or patient care Never On-Call Experity EMR system utilized across the ministry Key Responsibilities Provide comprehensive care for walk-in urgent care patients, including diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up.
Qualifications Mandatory:
Current and unrestricted Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) license. Active DEA license A minimum of two years of independent FNP/PA experience Ability to work independently in a fast-paced clinical setting Must be comfortable seeing up to 60 patients as sole clinic provider during peak cold and flu seasons.Travel Requirements:
Up to 20% floating to other clinics as needed- mileage reimbursed over 30 miles.
Preferred:
Experience working as FNP/PA in Urgent care, emergency medicine, or family medicine. Experience completing DOT physicals Experience completing workers comp claims and return to work evaluationsClinic Hours Monday-Friday:
8:00 a.m.- 8:00 p.
Saturday & Sunday:
8:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.
Full-time schedule example:
Week 1: M, Tu, Fr, Sa Week 2:Sun, W, Th Holiday Expectation:
At minimum, one market clinic will be open on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day with normal hours. All other clinics (if open) will close at 5p. However, all providers, regardless of clinic, will be expected to provide rotational coverage. All clinics will have normal operating hours on New Years Eve, New Years Day, Memorial Day, Independency Day, Labor Day, and Thanksgiving Eve.Work Location:
