  • Full-Time Advanced Practice Clinician (FNP/PA), AFC Urgent Care Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking a dedicated, compassionate Physician Assistant or Family Nurse Practitioner to join our AFC Urgent Care Clinic in Anderson, SC.
This is an excellent opportunity to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a collaborative, fast-paced urgent care environment while enjoying predictable scheduling and strong organizational support. As a member of our urgent care team, you will evaluate and treat a broad spectrum of non-emergent illnesses and injuries, supported by experienced medical assistants and front-office staff. Our clinics operate seven days per week, offering consistency, work-life balance, and meaningful connections with patients and colleagues. Urgent Care Scope of Services Walk-in access to high-quality, non-emergency care Occupational medicine services, including workers' compensation, return-to-work evaluations, and pre-employment physicals Support the Primary Care Virtualist Program during periods of available capacity as needed. On-site diagnostics, including laboratory testing, X-rays, and EKGs Seamless coordination with primary care and specialty providers What We Offer Competitive guaranteed base salary
  • includes 39 hours per week and based on years of active APC experience.

No on-call responsibilities Experity EMR used across the ministry Key Responsibilities Provide comprehensive care for walk-in urgent care patients, including diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up. Perform procedures such as suturing, splinting, incision and drainage, and wound care. Collaborate closely with medical assistants and clinical staff to ensure efficient patient flow. Educate patients and clearly communicate care plans and follow-up instructions. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record. Demonstrate a commitment to quality, patient satisfaction, and continuous professional growth.
Travel Requirements:
(required) Up to 20% floating to other clinics as needed (mileage reimbursed over 30 miles)
Qualifications Mandatory:
Current and unrestricted Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) license in Virginia. Active DEA license A minimum of two years of active FNP/PA experience Ability to work independently in a fast-paced clinical setting Must be comfortable seeing up to 60 patients as sole clinic provider during peak cold and flu seasons. DOT Certified or ability to obtain BLS (minimum) or ability to obtain
Preferred:
Experience working as FNP/PA in Urgent care, emergency medicine, or family medicine. Experience with workers comp claims Experience performing DOT, new-hire, and school sports physicals

W, Th Holidays Expectation:
At minimum, one market clinic will be open on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day with normal hours. All other clinics (if open) will close at 5p. However, all providers, regardless of clinic, will be expected to provide rotational coverage. All clinics will have normal operating hours on New Years Eve, New Years Day, Memorial Day, Independency Day, Labor Day, and Thanksgiving Eve.
