You will be at the forefront of patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and ongoing management, ensuring high-quality care that meets both individual needs and organizational standards. Duties Conduct thorough physical examinations and comprehensive patient assessments to determine health status and develop personalized care plans. Prescribe medications and treatments in accordance with state regulations and collaborative practice agreements, ensuring safe and effective medication management. Perform advanced procedures such as suturing, IV insertion, catheterization, spinal taps, and dermal filler injections to support diverse patient needs. Manage acute and chronic conditions across specialties including emergency medicine, critical care, geriatrics, behavioral health, and pediatrics. Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic, Cerner, eClinicalWorks, and Athenahealth for accurate medical documentation, order entry, and data management. Collaborate closely with healthcare professionals across disciplines—such as physicians, nurses, specialists—to coordinate patient care effectively. Engage in telehealth consultations to extend access to care remotely while maintaining high standards of clinical quality. Participate in clinical research initiatives and utilize diagnostic tools like sonography and laboratory testing to inform treatment decisions. Provide patient education on health coaching topics including nutrition, medication adherence, disease management, and preventive care strategies. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain meticulous medical records while adhering to CPT coding standards for billing accuracy. Experience Proven experience working as a Nurse Practitioner in diverse clinical environments such as hospital medicine, emergency rooms, ICU or trauma centers (Level I or II trauma experience preferred). Demonstrated proficiency in managing complex cases involving acute pain management, infectious diseases, hospice & palliative medicine, or behavioral health. Hands-on experience with advanced procedures including intubation support like ventilator management or spinal taps; familiarity with sterile techniques is essential. Strong background in using EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner; experience with telehealth platforms is highly desirable. Knowledge of medical coding systems including ICD-9/10 and CPT coding for accurate documentation and billing processes. Critical care experience within ICU or emergency settings; familiarity with trauma protocols at Level I or II trauma centers enhances your candidacy. Experience working with special populations such as pediatrics (including neonatal ventilator management), geriatrics (memory & Alzheimer's care), or individuals with developmental disabilities is advantageous. Ability to perform diagnostic evaluations using laboratory testing, sonography, specimen collection/processing, and other imaging modalities effectively. Excellent client communication skills with a focus on compassionate patient care; adept at triage in urgent or emergent situations. Knowledge of Workers' Compensation law and outpatient post-acute care processes supports comprehensive case management.
