Job Summary Join our compassionate team as an In Home Caregiver, where you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals in their own homes. This energetic position involves providing personalized care, supporting daily activities, and ensuring safety and comfort for clients with diverse needs. Your dedication will help promote independence, dignity, and well-being for those you serve, making a meaningful difference every day. Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene. Monitor patient health by checking vital signs and observing changes in condition; report findings to healthcare professionals. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary restrictions and preferences, ensuring proper nutrition and hydration. Support medication management by administering prescribed medications accurately and maintaining detailed care plans. Facilitate safe patient transfers using manual handling techniques and equipment such as Hoyer lifts; assist with mobility and positioning. Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being; engage clients in meaningful activities. Maintain a clean, safe environment through regular cleaning tasks and adhering to infection control protocols such as HIPAA regulations. Assist with transportation for medical appointments or community outings, ensuring client safety at all times. Requirements Proven experience working as a caregiver in home health, assisted living, nursing homes, or group homes. Knowledge of patient observation techniques, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring. Familiarity with care for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, autism spectrum disorder, developmental disabilities, or neurodevelopmental disorders. Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and patient transfers using appropriate equipment like Hoyer lifts. Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional training in hospice care or memory care is a plus. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare teams while respecting residents' rights. Ability to follow detailed care plans and adhere to HIPAA privacy standards; experience working with diverse populations including geriatrics is preferred. $13.00 - $20.00 per hour
