Family Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant - Primary Care About the Opportunity A community-focused healthcare organization in Texas is seeking a Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join its close-knit primary care team. This is an excellent opportunity for an APP who enjoys building long-term relationships with patients and providing comprehensive care across the lifespan. The practice serves as an important healthcare resource for the surrounding rural community, caring for patients from infancy through older adulthood. Providers have the opportunity to practice broad-scope primary care, including preventive medicine, chronic disease management, acute care, and some women's health. The organization is entering an exciting period of growth, including an upcoming move into a new location and the potential to expand its provider team in the future. Position Highlights Outpatient primary care serving patients across the lifespan Broad Family Medicine scope, including some women's health Flexible scheduling potential Dedicated administrative time No current provider call ; patients utilize a nurse line Supportive, collaborative, close-knit clinical team Physician leadership with a strong teaching background and experience mentoring developing providers Opportunity to become an integral part of a smaller rural community Qualifications Licensed or eligible for licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Family Medicine/Primary Care training with the ability to care for patients across the lifespan 3-4 years of primary care experience preferred Strong new graduates are encouraged to be considered Comfortable practicing in a rural/community healthcare environment Strong interest in developing meaningful, long-term relationships with patients and the surrounding community Compensation & Benefits Competitive compensation, with current full-time APP compensation around $131,000 annually Medical insurance with strong employer contribution and multiple plan options Family medical coverage available PTO, CME, and sick time Approximately 11.5 paid holidays Community & Practice Environment This opportunity is ideal for a provider who enjoys the connection and sense of community that comes with practicing in a smaller Texas town.
