Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner — Full-Time The Opportunity An established, physician-owned urgent care group is opening a new location in the greater Lynchburg area and is hiring two experienced Nurse Practitioners to launch the site. This is a ground-floor role with an operator that already runs multiple successful clinics — you get a new clinic without startup risk. Schedule Salaried, full-time Alternating 3-day and 4-day workweeks (average ~3.5 days/week) 12-hour shifts; weekend rotation required Clinic hours: Mon-Fri 8am-8pm, Sat 8am-6pm, Sun 9am-5pm No call, no hospital rounding Predictable schedule published in advance Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary based on experience Malpractice coverage provided Health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with employer match Paid time off What You'll Do Evaluate and treat patients of all ages, pediatric through geriatric Manage the full range of urgent care presentations: respiratory illness, flu/COVID/strep, lacerations, burns, abscesses, sprains and fractures, rashes, UTIs, GI illness, dehydration Perform procedures: laceration repair, I&D, splinting and bracing, foreign body removal Order and interpret X-ray and point-of-care testing Perform occupational medicine visits Work alongside medical assistants, nurses, and physician support Document in Experity EMR (training provided) Qualifications Active Virginia NP license (or eligible), FNP preferred Minimum 1 year of urgent care or family practice experience required — this is not a new-graduate position Comfortable independently managing undifferentiated complaints Competent with common urgent care procedures Able to treat all ages Strong clinical judgment and communication Why This Role Physician-owned — clinical decisions made by clinicians Reasonable volumes; quality over churn Experienced support staff Real physician backup Full-scope autonomy Long-term stability with an established operator To Apply Submit your resume through Indeed with a brief note describing your urgent care or family practice experience and your availability.
