Ortho OIC Orthopaedic Immediate Care | Arlington, VA Ortho OIC is a premier, fully equipped standalone orthopedic immediate care facility seeking a dedicated Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our Arlington, VA clinic on a full-time basis. We offer a specialized, highly efficient alternative to overcrowded hospital emergency rooms, providing minimal wait times and high-quality care for acute musculoskeletal injuries.
Position Highlights:
Schedule:
Full-Time | Rotating schedule of alternating 3x12-hour shifts and 2x12-hour shifts (averaging 26-36 hours/week). Required 1 Saturday shift per month (8:00 AM - 6:00 PM). No on-call obligations.
Autonomous Clinical Setting:
Function autonomously as the sole provider on site (with Dr. Davis available by phone), heavily supported by a dedicated clinical team.
Location:
Standalone outpatient facility in Arlington, VA.
Practice Overview:
Broad Scope of Care:
Diagnose and treat acute orthopedic conditions, sports-related injuries, sprains, strains, and low-level acute skeletal fractures, seeing a dynamic volume of 20-30 patients per day (2-3 patients per hour).
Clinical & Procedural Duties:
Perform required in-office procedures, including joint injections (shoulder, hip, knee), splinting, casting, bracing, and X-ray interpretation. Coordinate follow-up care with our orthopedic surgeons for patients requiring surgical intervention.
Unmatched Support Staff:
Benefit from a streamlined triage assembly line featuring dedicated Medical Assistants/Ortho Techs handling vitals and histories, on-site Radiology Techs, and full front-desk check-in/out staff.
Compensation & Benefits:
The hourly range for this role is $75 to $90 per hour and is exclusive of any bonuses or benefits. The base pay offered will be determined based on relevant factors such as experience, education, and geographic location. Bonus Eligibility Health Insurance PTO 401(k)
CME & License Reimbursement Malpractice Coverage Flexible Schedule Qualifications:
Licensure:
Active, unrestricted Virginia license as a Certified Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner (or eligibility to obtain).
Experience:
Minimum 1-2 years of post-graduate clinical practicing experience in an Orthopedic or Sports Medicine setting is required. Must be proficient in joint injections and comfortable functioning autonomously.
