This role offers the opportunity to independently manage a patient panel while working closely with a collaborative team of Gastroenterologists and Nurse Practitioners. The position is outpatient only with no hospital responsibilities, procedures, or call. Practice Highlights Outpatient Gastroenterology only No inpatient responsibilities No procedures No call requirements Independently manage new and established patients Work alongside 11 Gastroenterologists and 6 Nurse Practitioners Average 14-16 patients per day once fully ramped up 30-minute patient visits Strong referral base and established patient population Schedule & Flexibility Typical schedule of four 10-hour days Full-time schedule defined as 36 patient contact hours per week Potential for one day of virtual visits per week after successful onboarding Practice Environment Collaborative, team-based care model NPs are highly involved in clinical decision-making Strong mentorship and support from experienced Gastroenterologists Structured onboarding with gradual patient ramp-up New-to-specialty NPs are supported through mentorship and training Required Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program National NP certification (AANP or ANCC) Washington State NP license (or ability to obtain before start) Active Washington DEA license before start date Preferred Qualifications Prior Nurse Practitioner experience Gastroenterology experience Epic EMR experience Highlights This is an outpatient-only Gastroenterology opportunity offering a four-day work week, no call, no procedures, strong physician support, structured onboarding, and the potential for hybrid work with virtual visits. The role is ideal for an NP seeking specialty practice within a collaborative and highly respected GI team. The salary range for this role is $109,500 to $164,000 per year. Salary Range is defined as total cash compensation at target. The actual range and pay mix of base and bonus is variable based upon experience and metric achievement. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
