Position Summary:

The Medical College of Wisconsin's Department of Surgery/Division of Trauma and Acute Care Surgery (TACS)/Program of Community Surgery is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant toprovide specialty medical care within the community hospitals. This position is located in Menomonee Falls, WI at Froedtert Menomonee Falls Hospital. TheAdvanced Practice Provider(APP) works as a member of a multidisciplinary health care team who will contribute to excellence in program administration, patient care, patient safety, research, quality improvement, and teaching.

Position Highlights:

Admit, discharge, manage, and provide consultation for surgical specialty patients. In-person coverage at Froedtert Menomonee Falls Hospital and virtual coverage of Froedtert West Bend Hospital for surgical specialty patients. Care will be provided in collaboration with surgeons teams. This position provides 24/7 coverage to our community surgery practices and reports to the

TACS APP

Manager.

Schedule:

Rotational schedule on nights. Rotational weekend and holiday coverage 1.0 FTE Salaried (Exempt)

Department/Division Highlights:

The APP position requires a strong clinical competence in emergency general surgery, trauma and subspecialty surgical specialties, critical decision making and ability to assess, diagnose and treat patients in an inpatient setting. The APP will have a strong foundation in evidence-based practice and ensure an environment of safe quality care as part of an academic practice and Level 3 trauma center.

Preferred Experience:

Previous APP surgical specialty experience preferred.

Minimum Education:

Advanced Practice Nurse:

Master's Degree or higher in Nursing from a nationally accredited organization.

Physician Assistant:

Bachelor's Degree or higher in Physician Assistant Studies from an ARC-PA-accredited organization.
