Job Description

Join a practice focused on thoughtful, patient-first care every day. Anovia Health, a physician-led, independent, Wisconsin-based direct primary care provider, seeks an experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physicians Associate (PA) to be an integral part of our Wisconsin Rapids team! Here, you will collaborate with physicians and fellow healthcare professionals to provide high-quality care for patients from birth to age 64. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patient lives while contributing to an innovative, growing practice. Who We're Looking For NP or PA with at least two years prior experience, preferably in a primary care clinical setting Self-starter who thrives in a patient-centered, independent setting Passionate about quality care and cost-effective treatment options Why You'll Love This Role Be part of a collaborative, independent care team, collaborating with a lead physician and other APCs and health care professionals Work with patients of all ages (birth to 64) in a meaningful, hands-on way Opportunity to grow in leadership and influence practice innovation Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits What You'll Do Diagnose and treat common acute illnesses and injuries Order and interpret diagnostic tests (X-rays, ECGs, labs) Prescribe medications, treatments and therapies, as well as non-pharmacological treatment modalities Perform procedures Educate and counsel patients and families on healthy lifestyles and health care options What Makes Anovia Different If you're tired of overbooked schedules, inbox overflow, after-hours charting, and decisions shaped more by reimbursement than by clinical judgment — this is the practice you've been looking for. Fewer patients. Deeper care. Our model is built around fewer patients and longer, more meaningful visits. You'll practice medicine the way you intended when you chose this career — with clinical judgment at the center, not RVU targets. No after-hours charting. Our streamlined clinical workflows are designed with built-in time to chart during your day, so your evenings stay free. We've structured the primary care experience based on direct input from providers, and eliminating documentation burden was a priority from day one. No insurance headaches. Anovia operates on our employer relations, and straightforward cash model — no private insurance, no Medicare, no Medicaid. That means no billing games, no insurance runarounds, and no fragmented incentives getting between you and your patients. Physician-led, not system-led. Anovia was founded and continues to be led by board-certified family medicine physicians. Clinical decisions are made by clinicians — not hospital administrators or corporate metrics. Proven and growing. With over 40,000 patients, 150 company partners, and 13 community-based clinics across Wisconsin, Anovia is financially stable, privately owned, and not affiliated with any hospital network. We were named the 2024 Hint Health DPC Growth Award recipient — given to the direct primary care organization demonstrating exceptional growth. We're expanding, and this Sheboygan/Plymouth team is part of that next chapter.
