Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our dynamic healthcare team. Duties Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and dignity Monitor and record vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates accurately using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems Support medical procedures such as catheter care, phlebotomy, medication administration under supervision, and basic life support techniques like CPR Maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations while documenting medical records thoroughly and accurately Use safe lifting practices with equipment like Hoyer lifts and manual handling techniques to transfer patients safely Observe and report changes in patient condition or behavior promptly to nursing staff or physicians Assist with specialized care needs including dementia care, Alzheimer's care, hospice support, behavioral health management, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities Requirements Valid certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) from an accredited program Experience working with geriatric patients in settings such as nursing homes or assisted living facilities is highly preferred Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and aseptic techniques required for safe patient care Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for documentation and patient record management Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively while adhering to safe lifting practices Strong communication skills for caregiving interactions and teamwork within multidisciplinary healthcare teams Prior experience in diverse clinical environments such as ICU, emergency medicine, hospital medicine, sub-acute care, or post-acute settings is advantageous Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA standards at all times Join us to be part of a caring team that values your dedication!
