Duties:

• Assist patients with personal care tasks, such as bathing, grooming, and dressing
• Monitor vital signs and report any changes or abnormalities to the nursing staff
• Assist with mobility and transfers, ensuring patient safety at all times
• Provide emotional support and companionship to patients
• Help with medical documentation and maintain accurate patient records
• Perform basic medical procedures under the supervision of licensed healthcare professionals
• Follow aseptic techniques to prevent infection transmission
• Assist in critical care situations and respond to emergencies as needed
• Provide memory care support for patients with cognitive impairments

Skills:

• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy
• Familiarity with medical documentation systems
• Excellent patient service skills, demonstrating empathy and compassion
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a healthcare team
• Proficient in aseptic technique to ensure patient safety
• Experience in skilled nursing or assisted living settings is preferred

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited Nursing Assistant program
• Valid certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA)
