Job Overview Join our vibrant early childhood education team as a Nursery/Preschool Aide, where your enthusiasm and dedication will help create a nurturing, engaging, and educational environment for young learners. In this vital role, you will support lead teachers in implementing curriculum plans, supervising children, and maintaining a safe and positive classroom atmosphere. Your energy and compassion will directly contribute to the developmental growth of children during their formative years, fostering a love for learning from the very start. Duties Assist lead teachers in delivering age-appropriate lessons focused on literacy, math, social skills, and early childhood development. Supervise children during classroom activities, outdoor play, meals, and rest periods to ensure safety and engagement. Support classroom management strategies to promote positive behavior and respectful interactions among students. Help prepare educational materials and set up learning centers that stimulate curiosity and exploration. Collaborate with teachers on individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities or special needs, including those with autism or requiring special education accommodations. Assist in implementing behavior management techniques that support inclusive classroom environments aligned with early childhood philosophies. Skills Proven experience working with young children in educational or childcare settings, including classroom experience with preschool or nursery-aged students. Strong understanding of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices. Knowledge of classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies to maintain an organized learning environment. Familiarity with educational technologies and computers used for literacy education, tutoring, or instructional support. Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, teachers, and staff to foster a collaborative atmosphere. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or autism to support inclusive learning experiences. Certification in first aid and CPR to ensure safety during all activities.
