Working under the guidance of the Nurse Manager or Director, and under the general supervision of a Registered Nurse, you will provide professional, skilled, and age-specific care. You aren't just checking off a list of duties—you are a vital collaborator working alongside physicians and multi-disciplinary teams to ensure our patients receive high-quality, compassionate care.

Your Impact:

Direct Bedside Support:

Deliver essential daily care, assist with clinical procedures, manage ADLs, and accurately monitor vital signs.

Proactive Observation:

Serve as the clinical "eyes and ears" by closely monitoring patient status and reporting any critical changes to the supervising Nurse or Physician.

Clear Communication:

Advocate for our patients by ensuring their immediate needs are communicated efficiently across the care team.

Precise Documentation:

Maintain accurate, real-time records of all patient interactions and care details within the medical chart. .

Hourly Pay Rate:

$16.87 - $24.88 The night shift pay differential will be paid at 18% of the employee's base rate of pay. The weekend shift pay differential will be paid at 8% of the employee's base rate of pay.

Qualifications Education:

Prefer a high school diploma or GED.

Experience:

Prefers at least one (1) year of relevant nursing assistant or healthcare-related experience.

Specialized Training:

Must successfully complete approved Valleywise Health computer classes.

Certification/Licensure:

Requires licensure through the AZ Board of Nursing as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA), or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). Requires BLS card obtained through an approved American Heart Association (AHA) training center upon hire.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Bilingual is preferred. Must have the ability to work with culturally diverse people. Requires excellent communication, time management, and leadership skills. Requires the ability to read, write, and speak effectively in English.
