Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - Full-Time Bakersfield Post Acute Salary Range $18.00-$20.00 BOE General Purpose The primary purpose of this position is to provide each assigned resident with routine daily nursing care and services in accordance with the resident's assessment and care plan, and as directed by your supervisors. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Identify residents before providing care or treatments using wristbands or photo cards. Report all changes in resident condition, incidents, or accidents to the Nurse Supervisor/Charge Nurse promptly. Record resident care, observations, and activities accurately on charts and flow sheets. Maintain confidentiality of all resident care information, including protected health information. Assist residents with daily personal care needs including bathing, grooming, dressing, dental care, and toileting. Ensure residents who are unable to call for help are checked frequently and that call lights are answered promptly. Assist with resident mobility including lifting, turning, moving, positioning, and transporting residents. Provide restorative and rehabilitative care as instructed. Maintain clean and organized resident rooms and ensure comfort and dignity of residents at all times. Observe and report signs of pressure injuries or skin breakdowns immediately. Assist with meal service—help residents with food identification, feeding, and recording intake. Follow all infection control and safety procedures. Support residents emotionally and create a warm, friendly, and calm environment. Report all allegations of abuse, neglect, or misappropriation of resident property immediately. Uphold residents' rights, including their right to refuse treatment, and report such refusals appropriately. Qualifications Must possess, as a minimum, a 10th grade education. Must be a licensed Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in accordance with state laws. Current CPR certification preferred. Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English. Compassionate, dependable, and committed to providing quality resident care. Physical Requirements Must be able to lift/move up to 25 lbs. Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the shift. Must be able to assist in the evacuation of residents in emergencies.
