The Certified Nursing Assistant is responsible for providing quality care to patients with varying needs, including keeping track of and administering medications, monitoring vital signs and ensuring the physical comfort of patients. Nursing Assistants work primarily under the supervision of a registered nurse or a licensed nurse. Experienced Nursing Assistants may provide basic care which may include changing linens, escorting patients to x-ray or dialysis appointments and helping them with personal hygiene.

Responsibilities:

Assist patients with activities of daily living. Provide assistance to patients and families in the waiting area. Assist with family members and visitors in the lounge area. Maintain confidentiality of patient information. Maintain cleanliness of the environment. Assist patients with bathing, grooming, and other personal needs. Respond to call lights within a timely manner. Respond to requests for assistance in a timely manner.
