Position Summary:
Hayward Post Acute is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Full-Time Restorative Nursing Assistant (RNA) to join our team. The RNA provides restorative nursing care and services to residents in accordance with individualized care plans, helping them maintain or improve mobility, strength, independence, and overall quality of life.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Assist residents with restorative exercises designed to improve or maintain mobility, strength, and functional independence. Encourage participation in activities and out-of-bed mobility unless medically contraindicated. Assist with dining, splinting, transfers, ambulation, and active/passive range-of-motion exercises as directed by the Rehabilitation and Nursing Departments. Obtain and accurately record resident weights as ordered and report significant changes to nursing staff. Ensure residents have clean, properly fitting clothing and linens in good condition. Assist with activities of daily living, including toileting, bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene. Reposition residents regularly to promote comfort and prevent skin breakdown. Support residents in maintaining cleanliness, dignity, and personal appearance. Participate in RNA meetings with Rehabilitation and Nursing Departments to monitor and adjust restorative programs. Complete all required documentation and charting accurately and timely. Maintain a positive, respectful, and therapeutic environment for residents. Promptly report changes in resident condition, abnormal findings, or concerns to appropriate nursing and rehabilitation staff. Assist residents with preparation for medical appointments, treatments, meals, and social activities. Provide assistance with elimination needs, including catheter care support and proper cleaning of equipment. Promote skin integrity through proper care techniques and the application of pressure-relieving devices as directed.
