Responsibilities:

Monitor and record vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature accurately using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems. Support clinical staff by preparing patients for procedures, assisting with medical documentation, and maintaining aseptic techniques during patient interactions. Administer medications under supervision, ensuring proper medication administration protocols are followed in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Operate patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts and manual handling techniques safely to prevent injury. Provide specialized care for patients with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, including memory care strategies and behavioral management. Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams in settings like ICU (Intensive Care Unit), emergency medicine, hospice care, or pediatric units to deliver comprehensive patient-centered care. Maintain patient confidentiality at all times while managing medical records and documentation accurately within EMR/EHR systems. Support infection control practices by adhering to aseptic techniques and handling infectious disease precautions diligently. Demonstrate proficiency in caring for geriatric patients and those with chronic or acute conditions across various healthcare environments. Experience Valid CNA certification from an accredited program with current licensure required. Prior experience working in long-term care facilities, hospitals (including trauma centers), or outpatient clinics is highly desirable. Familiarity with medical terminology, vital signs monitoring, medication administration, and basic life support (BLS) certification is essential. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia enhances your ability to provide personalized care. Knowledge of EMR/EHR systems such as Cerner or eClinicalWorks is preferred for efficient documentation. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments like ICU, emergency departments, or post-acute care settings.
