Duties Assist patients or residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment such as Hoyer lifts and manual handling techniques Monitor vital signs regularly and report any changes to nursing staff promptly Document patient care activities accurately using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintaining confidentiality Support medication administration under supervision, adhering to aseptic techniques and safety protocols Facilitate patient transfers and positioning safely using proper patient transfer methods Provide specialized dementia, Alzheimer's, memory care, or hospice care as needed, demonstrating patience and understanding for individuals with complex needs Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in acute care environments such as ICU, Emergency Medicine, Level I Trauma Centers, or pediatric units like PICU and Pediatrics to deliver seamless patient care Maintain a safe environment by practicing infection control measures, safe lifting practices, and adhering to hospital policies for infectious disease care Assist with medical procedures including catheter care or phlebotomy when trained and authorized Communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members to ensure comprehensive patient service Skills Proven experience working in long-term care facilities, nursing homes, assisted living communities, or hospital settings with diverse patient populations including geriatrics, pediatrics, or individuals with disabilities Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and patient care standards across medical-surgical units or specialty areas such as ICU or trauma centers Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems like Epic, Cerner, eClinicalWorks or similar platforms for accurate medical documentation Ability to perform vital signs measurement accurately and respond swiftly in urgent or emergency situations using CPR or basic life support skills Skilled in manual handling techniques for safe lifting practices and patient transfer methods using equipment like Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or cognitive impairments such as dementia or Alzheimer's disease Excellent caregiver communication skills to provide compassionate support while maintaining patient confidentiality under HIPAA guidelines Familiarity with infection control protocols including aseptic technique and infectious disease management in high-acuity environments like Level II Trauma Centers or ICU units Capable of working independently during night shifts while coordinating effectively with team members for optimal patient outcomes Knowledge of medical records management ensuring accuracy in documentation related to patient service and medical history Join us in delivering exceptional night-time care that transforms lives through compassion, expertise, and teamwork.
