Support medication administration under the supervision of nursing staff, ensuring proper techniques and adherence to HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality. Provide specialized care for patients with complex needs such as Alzheimer's disease, dementia, or memory care requirements; deliver compassionate support in hospice or palliative care settings. Assist with medical procedures like catheter care or phlebotomy when trained and authorized, following aseptic techniques and infection control protocols. Qualifications Current certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) in good standing with relevant state licensing requirements. Experience working in diverse healthcare environments such as long-term care facilities, hospitals—including ICU, emergency medicine, Level I & II trauma centers—and outpatient clinics. Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, and basic life support (BLS), including CPR certification. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks for accurate medical documentation. Prior experience supporting patients with developmental disabilities or those requiring specialized dementia or Alzheimer's care is highly desirable. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and utilize patient transfer equipment like Hoyer lifts efficiently.
