As a Certified Nurse's Aide (CNA), you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care in various settings, including hospitals, nursing homes, and assisted living facilities. What you'll do Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating to promote their comfort and dignity. Monitor and record vital signs, ensuring accurate medical documentation for effective patient care. Provide support to nursing staff by assisting with medical procedures and maintaining a clean and safe environment. Engage with patients to offer emotional support and companionship, fostering a nurturing atmosphere. Help with mobility needs, including the use of Hoyer lifts and other assistive devices to ensure patient safety. Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals while adhering to HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop personalized care plans tailored to each patient's unique needs. Maintain knowledge of medical terminology and procedures to effectively communicate within the healthcare team. Basic qualifications Certification as a Nurse's Aide from an accredited program. Strong understanding of patient care principles, including basic life support techniques. Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments such as hospitals or long-term care facilities. Preferred qualifications Experience in critical care settings or working with individuals with developmental disabilities. Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Epic or Cerner for efficient documentation. Background in geriatrics, pediatrics, or hospice care is highly desirable.
