Unifeye Vision Partners is currently hiring for a Per Diem Certified Nursing Assistant , Thousand Oaks, CA SUMMARY The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides safe, knowledgeable, compassionate, and goal-directed care to surgical patients and their families throughout the immediate pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative periods. This role supports all aspects of the surgery center's operations to ensure safe and efficient patient throughput.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide compassionate and individualized care to surgical patients and their families. Assist in pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative patient care. Support surgical staff to ensure safe and efficient patient flow. Perform stocking, cleaning, and administrative duties as assigned. Maintain a clean and organized work environment. Adhere to all center policies and procedures. Maintains awareness of comfort and safety needs of patients; responds to emergency situations based upon nursing standards, policies, procedures, and protocol. Participates in training of personnel. Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Ability to provide direct patient care in pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative settings Ability to assist nursing staff with patient positioning, transport, and comfort measures Ability to follow clinical instructions, safety protocols, and infection-control procedures Ability to respond appropriately to patient needs and changes in condition Ability to maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient care environment Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary surgical team Strong attention to detail and patient safety Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with patients, families, and staff Ability to maintain confidentiality in accordance with
HIPAA CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent required Prior experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant in a clinical or surgical setting preferred Current ACLS and BLS are required.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
This position has no supervisory responsibility.
