Responsibilities Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and dignity. Take and record vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates accurately using appropriate medical equipment. Facilitate patient transfers using safe lifting practices and equipment such as Hoyer lifts or manual handling techniques, ensuring safety for both patients and staff. Observe and report changes in patient condition promptly, including symptoms related to infectious diseases or acute care needs. Provide emotional support and effective communication tailored to patients' cognitive levels, including those with dementia or developmental disabilities. Qualifications Valid certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) from an accredited program. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and adhere to safe lifting practices during patient transfers or manual handling tasks. Excellent caregiver communication skills with the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams in fast-paced environments like ICU, emergency medicine, or hospital settings.
