A Nursing Assistant provides hospital and nursing home patients with basic care and assists them with daily activities. Helps patients with dressing, washing, and feeding. May perform basic medical care under the direction of a nurse or other medical professional. These roles typically require completion of a regional agency-approved training program in order to obtain a certification before practicing.
The McAuley is looking for a part-time C.NA certified Wellness Assistant.
We have two opportunities available:
Day Shift 16-hour position that is every Saturday and every other Sunday 7-3 and a Per Diem position. Requirements:
C.NA Certificate in the State of Connecticut HS Diploma or equivalent Home health care experience preferred •This role involves lifting, carrying, and assisting with residents up to 250 pounds, standing or walking for most of an eight-hour shift, and performing tasks requiring hand-eye coordination. It also requires wearing protective equipment, distinguishing sounds, reaching or bending for items, reading small print, and maintaining clear communication. Strong focus and interpersonal skills are essential for interacting with residents, staff, and the public.
