Support medical procedures by preparing patients for examinations or treatments, maintaining aseptic techniques, and assisting healthcare professionals as needed. Document patient information precisely within Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems while maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality. Monitor patients' conditions closely, report any changes or concerns promptly to nursing staff or physicians, especially in critical care or emergency medicine environments. Provide emotional support and compassionate companionship to patients with dementia or memory care needs, including those with Alzheimer's disease or behavioral health challenges. Assist with medical documentation related to medication administration, catheter care, wound care, and other clinical tasks in compliance with medical-surgical standards. Experience Prior experience working as a CNA or in a healthcare setting such as long-term care facilities, hospitals (including ICU or Level I Trauma Center), assisted living communities, or home care is highly desirable. Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, and patient care procedures across diverse environments like pediatrics, geriatrics, behavioral health, or sub-acute care. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Cerner or Epic for accurate documentation and patient record management. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental delays, including those requiring specialized dementia or Alzheimer's care. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR is required; additional certifications such as phlebotomy training or medication administration are advantageous. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely using proper manual handling techniques and operate medical equipment like Hoyer lifts efficiently.
