Shift 1/variable Minimum to
Midpoint Pay Rate:
$20.50 - $24.09 / hour The shift is Monday through Friday. Shift times will vary depending on whether assigned to Pre-op or PACU. No weekends or holidays. Strongly prefer CNA candidates with experience. Hospital experience or Surgery Center experience preferred.
Duties:
Patient intake for pre-op, assist with obtaining patient vital signs, etc., re-stock supplies in respective department, assist with receiving patients into PACU, assist with the discharge process (i.e. dressing patients, restroom, transporting to discharge area, etc.). Resume required Current FL CNA License and AHA BLS required Summary Provides patient care duties under the guidance and direction of the nurse. Responsible for implementing components of the plan of care through the initiation/completion of procedures relating to basic human, mental health, social needs, comfort, safety and emergency measures; activities of daily living; personal care needs; nutrition and fluid and elimination needs. May have access to and transport non-controlled medications as directed.
Requirements Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred; completion of a State Approved, CNA Education Program required (with at least 120 hours of academic studies and clinical training; 165 hours preferred in Acute Care).
Experience:
Previous CNA work experience preferred; or new graduate CNA with clinical training.
Certification:
Proof of American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required; current for a minimum of 90 days after hire date.
License:
Current Florida CNA Certification; or a CNA certification active in another state which is transferrable to obtain Florida certification under reciprocity.
Other:
Communication and interpersonal skills, basic computer skills, and customer service skills required. Knowledge of medical terminology.
