Duties Plan, develop, and execute a variety of recreational activities tailored to residents' interests, abilities, and care needs, including memory care and dementia-specific programs Assist residents with daily living activities (ADLs), fostering independence and dignity while ensuring safety and comfort Coordinate resident events, outings, and special celebrations to promote social engagement and community involvement Build strong rapport with residents through personalized interactions, active listening, and empathetic communication Collaborate with care teams to integrate therapeutic activities that support cognitive health and emotional well-being Maintain detailed records of resident participation, progress, and feedback to inform ongoing program development Manage schedules efficiently to balance activity planning with residents' individual routines and preferences Experience Prior experience working with seniors in assisted living facilities or nursing homes is highly preferred Demonstrated expertise in event planning, recreational therapy, or program development within long-term care or geriatric settings Proven ability to build meaningful relationships with residents, especially those with Alzheimer's disease or other memory impairments Familiarity with caregiving duties such as assisting with ADLs and providing compassionate support to individuals with disabilities or aging issues Strong communication skills for effective client interaction, team collaboration, and resident rapport building Proficiency in Microsoft Office for documentation and scheduling purposes Experience working with geriatric patients in home & community care environments is a plus Join us in creating a lively atmosphere where seniors feel valued, engaged, and cared for!
