Nursing Assistant Duties:
  • Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse
  • Assist with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and feeding
  • Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, and pulse
  • Assist with mobility and transfers of patients
  • Collect specimens for laboratory testing
  • Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals
  • Assist with sterile processing and maintaining a clean and safe environment
  • Provide support to patients with behavioral health needs or special needs
  • Utilize electronic medical record systems such as eClinicalWorks, Cerner, etc.
  • Perform gastric lavage and airway management procedures as required
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of a nursing assistant training program or equivalent experience
  • Current certification as a nursing assistant (CNA)
  • Experience working with children and individuals with special needs is preferred
  • Knowledge of medical equipment and durable medical equipment (DME)
  • Familiarity with electronic medical record systems such as eClinicalWorks, Cerner, etc.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
Note:
Additional qualifications specific to the position may be required. A full weekend every other weekend if full-time, One full weekend per month if part-time (less than 30 hours/week), or As needed if PRN.
