A Nursing Assistant provides hospital and nursing home patients with basic care and assists them with daily activities. Helps patients with dressing, washing, and feeding. May perform basic medical care under the direction of a nurse or other medical professional. RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide personal hygiene assistance, including showering, bathing, dressing, transferring, and feeding for elderly clients in their residential home. Remind clients to take prescribed medications and assist with ambulation. Support mobility and transportation, such as accompanying clients to doctor's appointments or walks. Plan and prepare meals, incorporating local flavors when possible, and assist with physical therapy exercises. Accompany clients on shopping or grocery trips. Perform housekeeping duties and report any unusual incidents. Act quickly and responsibly in emergencies to ensure client safety.
CAREGIVER REQUIREMENTS
CNA or HHA Training Complete At least 4+
Years of Caregiving Experience :
Experience preferred to deliver exceptional care.
Background Check and Drug Screen :
Must pass both to ensure client safety. Experience with
Transfers/Gait Belts :
Essential for assisting clients with mobility. Experience with
Bed-Bound Clients Preferred :
Knowledge of specialized care is a plus.
Physical Ability :
Must be able to lift 45+ pounds.
No Smoking Policy :
Strict policy due to the delicate nature of our clients' health.
Driver's License Required :
Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance to navigate St. Augustine's historic streets. Completed required training during onboarding.
