Medical Assistant / Nurse. Candidates seeking part-time hours will not be considered , as again need is for
FULL-TIME
work schedule. Preference will be given to experienced candidates as well as graduates with degrees in biology, health science, or nursing fields of study, though a college degree is not absolutely required. Dermatology-specific training will be provided to selected candidate, so prior MA / Nursing certification is not absolutely required.
Responsibilities include:
Prepare patients for exam and treatment by taking detailed histories, recording symptoms, chief complaints, and patient data Assist providers with exams and in-office procedures Coordinate and manage patient care including pre-certifications, referrals, authorizations, prescriptions and scheduling of patients for other ancillary medical treatments and tests Responsible for communicating test results to patients Provide clerical support with patient/client notification and documentation Order supplies and stock patient care areas Develop and maintain effective communication with patients Salary dependent on experience.
