Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals across various settings, including long-term care facilities, hospitals, assisted living communities, and home care environments. Responsibilities Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote comfort and independence Monitor and record vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature accurately using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems Support patient transfer methods utilizing equipment like Hoyer lifts and manual handling techniques to ensure safety for both patients and staff Administer medications under supervision in accordance with medical protocols and maintain detailed medical documentation Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or other memory impairments in memory care or behavioral health settings Support patients with developmental disabilities or behavioral health needs through personalized caregiving strategies Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure infection control practices such as aseptic technique are maintained during patient interactions Assist in medical procedures such as catheter care or phlebotomy when trained and authorized to do so Maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations while managing medical records and documentation efficiently Respond promptly to urgent care situations or emergencies using basic life support (BLS) skills and safe lifting practices Skills Proven experience working with geriatric patients, individuals with disabilities, or in long-term care environments Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Cerner, eClinicalWorks, or similar platforms for accurate medical documentation Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and patient care procedures across diverse healthcare settings including ICU, trauma centers, or hospital medicine Strong caregiving communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare teams Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and adhere to safe manual handling practices during patient transfers or mobility assistance Experience working in specialized areas such as hospice care, pediatric or neonatal units (PICU), or post-acute/sub-acute care environments is highly desirable Certification in CPR/BLS and understanding of infection control protocols are required for compliance and safety standards Flexibility to adapt quickly in fast-paced settings like emergency medicine or urgent care environments Join us if you're passionate about delivering exceptional patient service through compassionate caregiving!
