• 8:00 PM Position Overview Cottage Grove Home Care is seeking a compassionate and dependable Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide hands-on care and support for a 17-year-old pediatric patient with complex neurological needs and medical support requirements.

The CNA will assist with daily care needs, promote comfort and safety, and support the patient's overall quality of life in the home setting while working under the direction of the nursing team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children or adolescents with developmental disabilities, mobility limitations, and complex care needs. This position provides an opportunity to develop a meaningful relationship with a patient and family while delivering consistent, compassionate care. Responsibilities Provide personal care and daily living assistance according to the patient's individualized plan of care Assist with bathing, grooming, dressing, hygiene, and toileting needs Assist with safe transfers, repositioning, and mobility support Provide appropriate positioning and comfort measures to support safety and prevent complications related to limited mobility Assist with maintaining skin integrity through observation and reporting of concerns Support use of adaptive equipment as directed Assist with feeding support and mealtime routines as appropriate Provide supervision and safety monitoring during daily activities Observe and report changes in the patient's condition, behavior, comfort level, or overall status to the supervising nurse Provide companionship and supportive interaction while maintaining dignity and respect Follow infection prevention, safety, and care protocols Complete required documentation accurately and timely Qualifications Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in Georgia preferred Experience working with pediatric, adolescent, or medically complex patients preferred Experience with individuals with neurological disabilities, developmental delays, or mobility limitations preferred Ability to provide compassionate, patient-centered care in a home environment Reliable, attentive, and comfortable providing one-on-one care Ability to follow direction from licensed nursing staff and the individualized plan of care Preferred Experience Pediatric or adolescent care Developmental disabilities Seizure awareness and safety precautions G-tube awareness and feeding support Mobility assistance, transfers, and positioning Personal care assistance for medically fragile individuals Benefits of Working with Cottage Grove Home Care Competitive pay rate: $15/hour Tentative consistent weekly schedule Flexible scheduling options One-on-one patient care Supportive clinical team environment Opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the life of a pediatric patient and family Join Cottage Grove Home Care and make a meaningful difference by providing compassionate, reliable support to children and families in our community.
