Duties Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility to promote independence and comfort Monitor and record vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates accurately using electronic health record (EHR) systems Support patient transfer methods utilizing equipment like Hoyer lifts and ensure safe manual handling practices Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations and document all care activities precisely in medical records Collaborate with nursing staff to implement individualized care plans tailored to each patient's needs, including those with dementia or Alzheimer's disease Provide specialized care for patients with developmental disabilities, memory impairments, or requiring hospice or palliative care Assist with medical procedures such as catheter care, medication administration under supervision, and basic life support (BLS) when necessary Requirements Valid certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) from an accredited program Demonstrated experience working with geriatric patients, individuals with disabilities, or in long-term care facilities preferred Knowledge of medical terminology, aseptic technique, and infection control protocols Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR/Epic/eClinicalWorks/Cerner) systems for accurate documentation Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and adhere to safe lifting practices during patient transfers and manual handling tasks Strong communication skills for caregiving interactions and team collaboration Basic life support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications such as CPR or phlebotomy are advantageous Experience in diverse settings including hospital medicine, ICU, emergency medicine, outpatient clinics, or home care environments is highly valued Join us in providing compassionate patient service across multiple healthcare settings!
