Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a caring, dependable Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our compassionate healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to individuals in various settings, including assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and home healthcare environments. Responsibilities Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts when necessary Monitor and observe patients' conditions through patient observation techniques, reporting any changes promptly to nursing staff Administer medications and perform basic medical procedures such as vital signs measurement, catheter care, and wound care following medical terminology guidelines and home healthcare regulations Maintain accurate medical documentation and electronic health record (EHR) systems to ensure compliance with HIPAA and other confidentiality standards Support patients during end-of-life care or hospice services with compassion and professionalism while respecting their dignity Assist with meal preparation, feeding, laundry, cleaning, and other light housekeeping tasks to promote overall well-being Communicate effectively with clients and their families to ensure personalized care plans are followed and needs are met Qualifications Valid CNA certification with current state licensure (Required) Proven experience working with geriatric patients in nursing homes or assisted living environments Familiarity with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems and medical documentation procedures Knowledge of Alzheimer's care, dementia care, memory care, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities in general Ability to perform patient transfer methods safely using equipment like Hoyer lifts or patient transfer techniques Strong understanding of home health care assistance regulations and hospice or end-of-life care practices CPR and First Aid certification required; Basic Life Support (BLS) training preferred Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration Physical ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary and assist with patient mobility tasks Join our dedicated team where your compassion meets your expertise!
