Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Nursery Assistant to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this role, you will support the development and well-being of young children, creating a nurturing environment that promotes their social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth. Your enthusiasm for working with children and your ability to implement engaging activities will help foster a positive learning atmosphere. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the foundational years of childhood development while gaining valuable experience in early education settings. Duties Assist lead teachers in implementing curriculum development plans tailored to early childhood education standards and individual student needs Support classroom management by maintaining a safe, clean, and organized environment conducive to learning and play Engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote literacy education, math skills, physical development, and social interaction Help with lesson planning and instructional design to ensure lessons are engaging, educational, and aligned with assessment-driven instruction methods Observe and document student performance data to support student assessment processes and inform academic interventions Collaborate with teachers on classroom activities, behavior management strategies, and conflict resolution techniques Support children with special education needs by assisting with individualized learning plans and implementing multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS) Requirements Prior experience working with children in preschool or early childhood education environments Knowledge of childhood development principles and educational compliance regulations Familiarity with learning technology systems (LMS) and educational software tools Strong communication skills for effective interaction with children, parents, and team members Ability to assist in curriculum development for literacy, math, physical education, and library services Experience working with students with disabilities or special needs is highly desirable Demonstrated classroom management skills and behavior management techniques Ability to analyze student performance data for progress evaluation and instructional planning Experience teaching physical education or tutoring young children is a plus Passion for childcare, Montessori or preschool methodologies preferred Join us in shaping young minds through engaging instruction, compassionate care, and innovative educational practices. Pay:
$15.00 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 10.0 - 20.0 per week
