Job Description

State of Idaho Opportunity Division of Veterans Services - Caring for America's Heroes This position will remain open until filled; the posting will be taken down once a candidate is selected. The Division of Veterans Services (IDVS) is recruiting for temporary Nursing Assistants to support our dedicated team of health care professionals at the beautiful, state-of-the-art State Veterans Home in Post Falls. This opening is for a temporary 24 - 32 hours per week position and includes a full state benefits package. Temporary employees work a maximum of 1,385 service hours in a twelve (12) month period. We are seeking candidates who have a positive attitude, excellent teamwork skills, and are organized and driven to provide exceptional care. This position is eligible for tuition assistance, including a Nursing Assistant Certification.
Responsibilities:
• Cleaning resident rooms including changing bed linens, folding towels, and arranging nightstands, closets, and dresser drawers Cataloging resident's personal items Labeling, sorting, and distributing resident clothing Stocking resident rooms and storage areas Transporting residents to the dining room, therapy gym and activity areas Answering resident call lights Assisting in the dining room Performs other duties as deemed necessary
Minimum Qualifications:
Willingness to: • Clean and restock residents' rooms and storage areas Answer resident call lights to determine resident needs Accurately catalog residents' personal items and label their clothing Transport residents to various areas and activities within the facility
Desirable Qualifications:
These qualifications are not required, however, having the education or experience below might increase your score. • Medical Assistant Certification Some experience following written and oral instructions
