Home Helpers Home Care is Hiring a Weekend Lead Caregiver! Are you an experienced caregiver who enjoys taking initiative, building relationships, and helping clients get started on the right foot? Home Helpers is seeking a dependable and compassionate Weekend Lead Caregiver to play a critical role in supporting our clients and caregiving team throughout DuPage and Will County. This is a unique leadership position that combines hands-on caregiving with mentorship and client onboarding responsibilities. You will be one of the first faces our new clients meet and will help establish the trust, routines, and care plans that set every case up for success. Why This Role Matters As the Weekend Lead Caregiver, you will serve as a trusted representative of Home Helpers. Your work ensures that new clients receive exceptional care from day one and that our caregiving team is properly trained and prepared to meet each client's unique needs. You will also provide coverage for open shifts when needed, helping us maintain the reliable service and peace of mind our clients depend on. What You'll Do Lead New Client Starts Be the primary caregiver for all new weekend client starts Establish routines and build trust with clients and their families Assess client needs and communicate important information to the office Ensure a smooth transition from onboarding to ongoing care Train and Support Caregivers Work alongside regular caregivers during their first shift on new cases Demonstrate care routines and client preferences Provide guidance and support to help caregivers succeed Provide Coverage When Needed Fill open shifts due to call-offs, vacations, or schedule changes Help maintain continuity of care and reliable client coverage Respond to urgent staffing needs when scheduled as the weekend lead caregiver Schedule & Availability This position is primarily for Saturday and Sunday coverage . Guaranteed minimum of 16 hours per week Additional hours may be available based on client needs Must be available to respond to staffing needs during scheduled on-call periods If no scheduled shifts are assigned, you are free to enjoy personal time while remaining available Must be able to report to an assigned client within one hour when called during on-call availability Must maintain a charged phone and remain reachable throughout scheduled availability periods Qualifications Previous caregiving experience preferred CNA certification welcomed but not required Strong communication and leadership skills Ability to train and mentor other caregivers Reliable transportation Valid driver's license and auto insurance Ability to pass a background screening Must be dependable, professional, and adaptable Authorized to work in the United States Additional Requirements Must be willing to work with male and female clients Must be comfortable working around household pets, including dogs, cats, and birds Must be willing to serve clients throughout DuPage and Will County Must be willing to work in homes where smoking may occur Must support and uphold Home Helpers' mission, values, and standards of care Benefits Guaranteed 16 hours per week 401(k) Health insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance Paid Leave Referral program Paid training and ongoing support Opportunities for advancement and leadership development How to Apply Call us at 630-515-1185 Please feel free to include a resume for us to review.
